Welcome to my little home on the Internet. My name is Rachel, and I’m a 20-something writer with a heart for topics of compassion (and self-compassion!), inspiration and positivity, faith, loving relationships, holistic wellness, and heart-centered living. I’m all about the small, meaningful moments and the inner journey of life.
One of the biggest influences in my writing (and in my life in general) is my ongoing battle with the chronic illnesses Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), and Fibromyalgia (FM). Those are some pretty fancy names, so you can just call me a “spoonie” (which is an agreeable nickname for people going through chronic illnesses.)
Living with pain is a difficult reality, but this experience has given me deeper compassion, tenderness, and understanding for others going through difficulties in life. It’s also lead me to a beautiful “spoonie” community that has gifted me my love, my best friend; my best buddy; and many other treasured friendships. I love the relationships I’ve built with others as we go through our battles together, and I hope you’ll join in! That’s what my space and my writing are all intended for: authentic connection with each other (and with Jesus) as we brave our brokenness together.
